Keep Up The Spirit!
Tic toc, tic toc , your age clock keeps ticking. Many years have gone by since your mother heard your first cries. You have lost so much and you have gained so much. What is it that seems slipping away every passing year? You want to hold on to it but it slips. What is it?
The spirit, the enthusiasm, the life.
Now you know so much. The rainbow doesn’t fascinate so much. You know exactly why it is formed. The firefly doesn’t dazzle you so much as you know exactly why it glows. You understand so much and you know so much that nothing seems to fascinate you any longer.
Does it mean life has nothing more to offer? Well it does. The poem you read twenty years back seems more fascinating now than it did back then:-
“Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.”
The babbling young one fills your being with so much joy, which you had never experienced earlier.
Look around, there’s lot more. Remember the universe is endless. You can never have enough.
So let us gift ourselves a new spirit, a new enthusiasm and a new life this very moment.
Costly Test
A professor was giving a big test one day to his students.
He handed out all of the tests and went back to his desk to wait.
Once the test was over the students all handed the tests back in.
The professor noticed that one of the students had attached a
$100 bill to his test with a note saying, "A dollar per point."
The next class the professor handed the tests back out.
This student got his test back and $64 change.
