MoodsAndColors

This Teachers' Day - My Checklist

A mountain of checking

the speeches in writing

A board with quotes

where hyperbole floats

More boards afloat

where clichés bloat

A Hasya Kavi Samelan,

with goofed up syllabication

Posters on teaching

deprived of any meaning

A saree in clutter

with hurried up flutter

Celebration ! Celebration !

and more jubilation

Sweating and panting

and endlessly wondering

Am I really the one

For whom this all was done !

Hi Ganga
Thanks for your words of appreciation.
This teacher's day was rather hectic and confusing...but then it too passed.

now that i am a mother of a son, i know the teachers really deervethe gifts that they receive. He is just 10 years old and doesnt understand the term "maska lagana'. So, when he choses the cards and gifts , it is out of genuine love and respect.

Hats off to all you teachers !

Hi Shankari
Thanks...

Hi Tejbir
Thanks for such beautiful words...best moods and best colours.

Hi Anon
Thanks. yes ten years old are rather innocent and their wishes genuine.
It would have been wonderful if you left your email or website add. I would have enjoyed the privilege of visiting your site. Keep coming.

Hi,
It seems the effort you invest in teaching is weighing heavily on you.
Well, I admire that you keep pushing despite all this fatigue and meaninglessness.

Hi Manish
You got the essence...but then the silver lining is that I enjoy being with my students ... teaching, guiding and interacing with them. It's the callousness of the system that bogs me down at times.

Anjali,
i've tagged you
